. . . Hay House Private Charter on Holland America Line – January 28-February 4, 2011

Caroline Myss has been in the field of energy medicine and human consciousness for over 20 years. Since 1982, she has worked as a medical intuitive, providing health evaluations of individuals’ energetic anatomy systems. She specializes in helping people understand the emotional, psychological, and physical reasons why their bodies have developed an illness. Her New York Times bestsellers include Anatomy of the Spirit, Why People Don’t Heal and How They Can, and Sacred Contracts. Accounts of Caroline’s astonishing mystical experience and extraordinary encounter with St. Teresa of Avila are presented in her New York Times bestseller and 8-CD set Entering the Castle. Her latest work, Defy Gravity was released in October 2009.

In this program, visionary author and intuitive Caroline Myss introduces the subject of her new book, Defy Gravity, which explores the mystical qualities involved in the experience of healing. She instructs readers to move beyond the dilemma of needing to find logical reasons for why an illness has developed and instead get on with the task of personal transformation. Healing any illness or personal crisis is a complex undertaking, as will be discussed in this program, but as attendees will discover, many of the methods that are part of the holistic model remain inadequate in terms of assisting a person on complete recovery of health. The missing factor involves understanding the nature of mystical consciousness and how to transcend the limitations of ordinary thinking.

Profound and lasting healings are, ultimately, mystical experiences that cannot be generated by the power of reason or the mind, as the intellect is incapable of igniting a mystical experience. Mystical experiences are spontaneous occurrences of a highly Divine nature that originate within the soul, and it is that source that also contains the capacity to heal illness. Caroline will help you discover how to get beyond one’s power of reason and cross the threshold into the domain of one’s soul. Healing exercises and learning how to channel grace play a vital role and will be demonstrated during this program.

There is an abundance of things to do in the Ft. Lauderdale area: visit the newly redesigned Ft. Lauderdale Beach and cafes, see the historic Riverwalk, shop the luxurious stores on Las Olas Blvd. and the growing Sawgrass Mills Mall, or adventure to the Everglades for an exhilarating air boat excursion. Besides some 23 miles of seashore, you'll find something like 300 miles worth of canals (often called "America's Venice").

A dash of Paris and a splash of Holland and Caribbean essence make this little island a blend of pure paradise.  Shared by the French and Dutch for over 350 years, it’s like visiting two islands in one. St. Maarten features some of the best shopping buys in the Caribbean.  Sidewalk cafes, open air markets, and beautiful white sand beaches lined with coconut palms await you.

Historic Old San Juan is Puerto Rico’s bastion of Spanish colonial tradition with well-preserved buildings lining cobblestone streets, wrought-iron balconies ablaze with purple bougainvillea, and the massive El Morro Fortress which guards the harbor and oversees the majestic landscape. Nearby, new San Juan flaunts a sleek skyline of luxury five-star resort hotels. Nature lovers will enjoy the El Yunque rainforest with its mountain lakes and waterfalls.

Half Moon Cay remains largely in its pristine, natural state, with a wonderful Wild Bird Preserve designated by the Bahamian National Trust.  Its beach is a two-mile-long, crescent-shaped bay with silky, white sand beaches - the perfect tropical island paradise you dream of.  Enjoy swimming and snorkeling, glass bottom boat rides, and a variety of activities from the Water Sports Center.
