Ports of Call

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

There is an abundance of things to see and do in the Fort Lauderdale area: visit the newly redesigned Fort Lauderdale Beach and cafes, stroll the historic Riverwalk, shop the luxurious stores on Las Olas Boulevard or venture to the Everglades for an intriguing air boat excursion.

Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos

Named for the fez-like scarlet blossoms of the cactus that grows here, Grand Turk is a pristine place of simple pleasures. Float dreamily over vibrant coral reefs, dine on conch fritters, set your watch to "island time."

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Massive El Morro Fortress guards Old San Juan, while the benevolent Indian spirit Yuqulyu keeps watch over the entire island from the highest peak in the rain forest. By night there are roulette wheels to spin and fiery flamenco shows to catch. Sample shore excursions: Old San Juan Historic Walking Tour, El Yunque Rain Forest Drive, World Heritage Fortress & Art Museum.

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

Beautiful scenery alone would fulfill the dreams of most visitors – but there is much more.  This laid-back island paradise is also a shopping Shangri-La.  Once a haven for merchant, naval and pirate ships, the waterfront warehouses that were once filled with pirate booty have been converted into duty-free shops stocked with imported luxuries.  Magen’s Bay is listed as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world.

Holland America Line's PRIVATE ISLAND

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

This pristine private island offers a day of play in paradise: a two-mile crescent of perfect beach; and interior lagoon; private beachside cabanas with butler service, showers and misters: and all manner of watersports and activities, including a children's aqua park and a buoyed personal watercraft course. Sample shore excursions: Horseback Riding by Land and Sea, Deep-sea or Flats Fishing; Stingray Adventure; Aqua Trax Watercraft Adventure.
